Data Entry Cpdms used F4 as a search hotkey, but it was changed to F2 (see 391) for compatibility with IE7. There is an IE6 behaviour that may be impossible to duplicate in IE7. Both IE6 and 7 use F4 as the hotkey to 'Display a list of addresses you've typed' -- meaning it opens the address bar. In IE6 it was possible to open a window (via javascript) with the address bar hidden. In IE7 it is not (for Internet Zone security settings at least). This broke the search feature in IE7 because F4 would always focus the address bar rather than opening a search dialog like it was supposed to. Using F2 instead works for IE7. In addition, IE6 windows without an address bar expand select/dropdown elements when F4 is pressed - just like Alt-!DownArrow does in most browsers (including IE). IE7 does not seem to mimic this behavior. It would be ideal to match the old behaviour if possible (I don't think it is). However, expanding selects/dropdowns is possible with the shortcut Alt-!DownArrow.
General Add support for IE8. A temporary solution might be http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/06/10/introducing-ie-emulateie7.aspx IE7 compatibility mode
Data Entry The help links for case text fields appear on the selector bar for each category. Other case data pages include help links for each field name, but in case text the links can be accidentally clicked instead of the selector.
Data Entry Hi Frances, We are working on our 2008 NCDB edits (for anticipated errors) and ran across an unusual error message: I am forwarding an edit error from Norton. UK had a similar error, but they deleted the case and re-entered it in order to get rid of the error. I've asked Kim to let us know of any more of these. The field is calculated by CPDMS and should not have invalid values in it. Please look into when when you can...it is not urgent, but important to resolve before NCDB submissions are due this fall. Thanks, Frances Edit: Archive FIN (COC) E: Archive FIN must be numeric, right justified and begin with 0010 or 0006 Can you help us with this? Thank you. Rhonda Paul, C.T.R.
