EOD v3.3 Post-Deployment Data Review Notice
-
After EOD v3.3 is deployed, three sets of cases will require attention:
-
Soft Tissue Other → Soft Tissue Rare (Schema ID 00459 → 00450): Affects 2018+ cases with Primary Site C481, C482, or C488 and Histology 8806, 8930, or 8931. Schema ID, AJCC ID, and TNM Edition Number will be automatically updated. No manual review needed.
-
Prostate – Derived EOD 2018 Stage Group recalculation: Affects 2018+ Prostate cases (Schema ID 00580) where Derived Summary Grade = 9/A–E/blank or PSA Lab Value = XXX.2/.3/.7/.9. The Derived EOD 2018 Stage Group should be recalculated or reset to 99. No manual review needed.
-
Oropharynx → Nasopharynx (Schema ID 00100/00111 → 09090): Affects 2025+ cases with Primary Site C111. Several fields will be auto-updated (Schema ID, AJCC ID, TNM Edition, Schema Discriminators, SEER SSF1), but manual review is required for the following:
-
EOD Primary Tumor, Regional Nodes, and Mets
-
Grade fields (Clinical, Pathological, Post Therapy)
-
Summary Stage 2018
-
All AJCC TNM Clinical, Pathological, and Post Therapy T/N/M/Stage Group fields
Registrars should expect a system message: "The Schema has changed from one of the Oropharynx to Nasopharynx. The EOD, Grade, Summary Stage, and AJCC field definitions differs and the case must be recoded."
-
Items 1 and 2 are fully automated — no action required.
-
Item 3 requires manual recoding by a registrar.
-
2025 AJCC Stageability Issue
-
Due to a bug with the AJCC Cancer Surveillance library in 2025, some nasopharynx cases coded with histology 8070 were mistakenly calculated as AJCC stageable when they were not. The bug has been fixed in the new version of the library, and affected cases have been recalculated with the correct AJCC ID. The staging information for these cases will need to be corrected.
